The LS lineup
Compact and utility tractors from about 25 to 73 HP. LS advertises a six-year limited powertrain warranty on most of its tractors, plus two years of bumper-to-bumper coverage.
- MT2E series 24.6 to 42.5 HP
- The simpler version of the MT2. The MT226E runs a Mitsubishi diesel with a long track record, and the MT232E and MT242E use Yanmar diesels. They don't come with many extras, which suits buyers doing loader work and brush mowing, and you can add what you need later.
- MT2 series 24.6 to 42.5 HP
- Redesigned a couple of years ago, with a comfortable platform, good seats, and a sharp new paint scheme. The MT232 and MT242 run Yanmar diesels, and loader lift compares well with the competition. The Premium models add a rear remote valve, telescoping lower links, a linked pedal that brings engine speed up with the drive pedal, and a joystick button that bumps the throttle while you lift or dump. They're third-function ready from the factory, so adding third-function plumbing is quick and inexpensive.
- MT3 series 42 to 57 HP
- The MT3 has been around long enough to prove itself. LS has made small improvements over the years, but the engine, transmission, and front axle combination has stayed largely the same. It's a lot of power and loader lift for its size. Put an MT352 next to other 50 HP tractors spec for spec and it holds its own. ROPS or cab.
- MT4 series 63 and 73 HP
- Recently redesigned, with good visibility and a loader LS rates at about 3,490 lb. The new design lifts higher than the old MT4. It comes well equipped, so there isn't much to add before it goes to work. ROPS or cab.
