Details & Features
When the grass along your fence lines and ditch banks gets ahead of you — and in the Pacific Northwest, it does — you want a trimmer with enough muscle to knock it down without bogging or stalling. The SRM-2620T is built for exactly that. Its 2:1 high-torque gear ratio gears the engine down for more twisting force at the head, so the line keeps chewing through thick, wet growth instead of stalling out in it.
The 25.4 cc professional-grade two-stroke engine is the same class of motor you'll find on landscape crews that run these things all day. Paired with the high-torque gearing, it holds line speed in heavy grass, blackberry canes, and the kind of overgrowth that builds up around outbuildings and pasture edges after a wet spring. The 17-inch cutting swath clears a wide path, so you cover more ground per pass.
The Speed-Feed® 400 head reloads in seconds — you feed the line through and twist, no taking the head apart in the field. That matters when you're working through a long property and don't want to stop and fight with a spool. The two-stage air filtration system runs longer between cleanings, and the tool-less air filter access means you can service it without digging for tools. The bellows-style fuel system makes for easy warm restarts, so it fires back up after you set it down for a bit.
At 12.8 lbs with the cutting head, it carries a little more weight than a homeowner-grade trimmer — that's the trade-off for the torque and the pro engine. A harness (sold separately) makes long sessions easier if you're clearing large areas.
