Kubota L2501 HST

The Kubota L2501 is about as straightforward as a compact tractor gets, and this one came in with 728 hours showing — light use for a machine built to run thousands. It's a 25 HP-class 4WD tractor with a quick-attach loader already on it and ag tires underneath.

The 24.8 HP Kubota D1703 diesel sits just under the emissions threshold that triggers a diesel particulate filter, so there's no regeneration cycle to sit through. One less system to service down the road. The three-range hydrostatic transmission suits the stop-and-go rhythm of loader work — push forward, pull back, no clutching on a slope.

This unit is on R1 agricultural tires front and rear with good lug depth left. R1s give you the best bite of any tire on wet grass and soft ground. Underneath them, the L2501 rides a standard L-series frame, which makes it heavy for its horsepower class — and that weight is what keeps the tires from spinning when you're pulling a rotary cutter through tall wet grass.

The LA525 loader has the two-lever quick coupler, so buckets and forks swap with pins and hose couplers instead of tools. Loader lift and three-point lift are separate figures — both are below. Note there are no rear remote valves and no loader third function. Standard PTO and three-point implements are no problem, but a grapple or hydraulic top link would mean adding a valve.

This is a trade-in, sold as-is. We cleaned it up cosmetically and nothing has turned up wrong with it, but as-is means as-is. Come start it cold and run the loader yourself. Honest guidance beats a quick sale every time.
