Storm season leaves you with piles of downed limbs and brush, and hauling it all off gets old fast. The CH45540 turns the tractor you already own into a wood chipper, so you can clear that mess right where it falls and turn it into mulch for your own property.

This is a PTO-driven implement — it runs off your tractor's rear power take-off (the splined shaft that transfers engine power to the implement) through a Category 1 three-point hitch. There's no separate engine to service and no gas can to keep filled. Hook it up, and your tractor does the work.

A lot of what you're chipping around here is green, wet, and stringy — the kind of material that wraps and clogs cheaper machines. The cantilever-mounted rotor is designed to cut down on that wrapping, so you spend more time chipping and less time clearing jams. The 14-inch, 49-lb balanced rotor spins at 2,000 RPM and carries two reversible, heat-treated steel blades. When one edge dulls, you flip the blade before you buy new ones.

The whole machine is built from heavy-duty 7-gauge steel and driven by a double-banded belt for solid power transfer. It takes branches up to 4.5 inches thick through a gravity self-feed hopper — drop the limb in and let it pull itself through.
